The Rod & Staff mark

Rod & Staff Media · Orlando, Florida

A shepherd's rod and staff don't push the flock. They guide it.

That's where the name comes from. It's also the only way I know how to work.

01

What I believe

  • Listen first.

Before I build anything, I want to understand what's actually happening: where the work gets lost, and what a person can realistically keep up with.

  • Guide, don't push.

Nobody on the other end of my work should feel sold to. If it's right for you, you'll see it.

  • Prove, don't promise.

If I didn't measure it, I don't say it. When I get something wrong, I fix it in the same place I said it.

I'm a Christian. Following Jesus is the reason I care about people being heard, and about families being provided for. I'd rather say that plainly than hide it.

02

Who's writing this

I used to quote paver jobs.

I spent years inside the trades, then became the person building the marketing systems behind them. I'm not a marketer. I'm not a filmmaker anymore. I'm not an AI guy.

I use AI as a tool, and I stay responsible for the decisions and the corrections. What I'm building now doesn't have a settled name yet. I'm early in it, and I'd rather say so than fake a title.

Follow the build

One true thing from the work, every weekday.

What shipped, what broke, what it taught. It's called the Build Log, and it lives on LinkedIn. No pitch at the end, just the lesson.
